Current projects of WCES include:
- Supporting legislation to regulate Boston University's
proposed biolab -- sign

- Advocating for open space and traffic calming measures.
- Encouraging Russo's to offer organic produce through
a petition
drive.
- Opposing the US invasion and occupation of Iraq.
- Participating in the Restoration Advisory Board, a
citizen advisory board monitoring the ongoing Superfund cleanup at the
former Watertown Arsenal site and nearby parkland.
- Creating and disseminating a survey to explore whether
a link exists between pesticide use and breast cancer in the local area.
- Promoting safety and freedom by curbing those parts
of the USA PATRIOT ACT that infringe on our civil liberties.
- Distributing flyers that educate the public about household
toxins.
- Supporting projects that promote peace, and seek diplomatic
solutions to world problems.
- Monitoring Charles River water quality.
- Encouraging pesticide reduction both in our homes and
on town property.
